School Update - September 5
Dear Centennial High School Community,
School Yearbook Pictures & Student ID Cards – Tomorrow!
If your child/children did not get their school pictures taken at the end of August, they must do so tomorrow (Wednesday, September 6). These pictures are required for student ID cards and will also be in our yearbook. This is NOT picture retake day, so students may not get retakes tomorrow. Picture retake day is October 18. At Centennial High School, students must carry their Student ID cards at all times and must present it if requested to do so by staff. ID cards permit entrance to school activities, computer use, the writing of exams, and allow for textbooks and other items to be signed out. Replacement cards are available in the Business Office at a cost of $5.25 (including GST). Please note that students may be asked to present their Student ID card by Calgary Transit.
Meet the Teacher Night This Thursday!
Please join us this Thursday, September 7 for our Meet the Teacher event. Please arrive to our Gym at 6:45pm, with a brief assembly to follow at 7:00pm. The evening concludes at 8:25pm. After the assembly, parents/guardians will follow an abbreviated version of their child’s Monday schedule (Period 1, 2, 3, then 4) for an opportunity to put faces to names while meeting our fantastic teaching staff. Please see the attachment (click on the link below) for the Meet the Teacher schedule. As we will not be printing student timetables for this event, please ensure you have access to your child’s Monday schedule through your myCBE account or your child’s PowerSchool account. As each class is only 10 minutes in duration at Meet the Teacher Night, please understand that this is NOT an opportunity to have one-on-one conversations regarding your child.
