School Council Meeting & Important Dates

Dear Centennial High School Community,

We hope you had a great weekend.  The weather was gorgeous!  Here are a few upcoming meetings and dates to note:

School Council & Parent Society Meeting!

• Our first School Council/Parent Society meeting of the year is tomorrow (Tuesday, September 22) at 7pm
• The meeting is in-person, in our school Learning Commons
• Please join us!

Non-Instruction Day

• This Friday, September 25 is a Non-Instruction Day
• There are no classes for students

National Day for Truth & Reconciliation

• The National Day for Truth & Reconciliation is next Wednesday, September 30
• The school is closed on September 30 as a result

Thanksgiving

• Thanksgiving Day is Monday, October 12
• The school is closed on that day as well

Student Progress Conferences

• Student Progress Conferences will be held Monday, October 19
• This is a Non-Instruction Day, so there will be no classes for students
• Conferences will be held virtually, during school hours, via Microsoft Teams
• The date and format of these conferences is to accommodate the Provincial Referendum and to allow teachers the opportunity to vote in the evening
• More information about how to book your conferences will be shared via School Messenger in October

November Break

• For those who like information well in advance, November Break is November 11 – 13
• Our last day of classes heading into this short break is Tuesday, November 10
• Classes will resume Monday, November 16
