Dear Centennial High School Community,

We are hitting our stride at Centennial, with auditions for Elf the Musical under way, our student athletes starting their respective seasons, and so much more going on throughout the school.  Please read below for a couple important updates:

 

Club Rush – Thursday, September 21!

• This Thursday at lunch students are encouraged to check out the various displays and to chat with students and staff representing the numerous clubs we run at Centennial High School
• There is something at Centennial for everyone – from guitarists and artists to gamers (electronic and good old-fashioned board) and blood donors, from multilingual speakers to environmentalists, rock climbers to aficionados of literature, journalists looking to write a good story for The Centennial Crier to Science Olympians and advocates for inclusion and diversity
• Students, please get involved if something is of interest to you!

Bienvenido Spanish Exchange Students!

• On Monday Centennial High School is welcoming 8 exchange students from Spain!
• These students will join our school community for the next several weeks before returning home
• In return, 8 Centennial students will spend a few weeks with their exchange families in Spain next spring
• Thank you to the students and families who are hosting our incoming exchange students, and to Ms. Babin for coordinating this outstanding opportunity for students and school communities on both sides of the Atlantic

Parking Passes

• A reminder that parking passes are required for students to use the school parking lot
• Students must apply for and purchase their parking pass through the Business Office
• Students, please drive safely and keep our parking lot clean – thank you!

Non-Instruction Day – Friday, September 22

• A reminder that there are no classes on Friday, September 22 due to a scheduled Non-Instruction Day

School Council Meeting – Wednesday, September 27

• Our first School Council and Parent Society meeting of the year will take place Wednesday, September 27
• The meeting is likely to be in-person, in the Centennial High School Learning Commons (to be confirmed next week)
• Meeting start time is 7:00pm
• We hope to see you there!
