We hope you and yours had a great Holiday Season, and that our students feel rejuvenated as they return to school.  Please read below for important information regarding our January Schedule and Final Examinations.  Please read through this carefully – there is a lot of information to be aware of and most days in January do not look like ‘typical’ school days.

January Schedule

• Tuesday, January 9: Regular Classes

• Wednesday, January 10
  • Tutorial: 8:40 – 9:10am (students can see any teacher for support)
  • 9:00am: English Language Arts 30-1 & 30-2 Diploma Examination (Part A)
  • PERIOD 1: 9:15am – 12:04pm (students not writing the ELA Diploma Exam attend their Period 1 class for course completion, credit recovery, and/or exam preparation)
  • PERIOD 3: 12:46 – 3:35pm (students not writing the ELA Diploma Exam attend their Period 3 class for course completion, credit recovery, and/or exam preparation)

• Thursday, January 11
  • Tutorial: 8:40 – 9:10am (students can see any teacher for support)
  • 9:00am: Social Studies 30-1 & 30-2 Diploma Examination (Part A)
  • PERIOD 2: 9:15am – 12:04pm (students not writing the ELA Diploma Exam attend their Period 2 class for course completion, credit recovery, and/or exam preparation)
  • PERIOD 4: 12:46 – 3:35pm (students not writing the ELA Diploma Exam attend their Period 4 class for course completion, credit recovery, and/or exam preparation)

• Friday, January 12: Regular Classes

• Monday, January 15: Non-Instruction Day (no school for students)

• Tuesday, January 16
  • Tutorial: 8:40 – 9:10am (students can see any teacher for support)
  • Period 1: 9:15am – 12:04pm (students attend their Period 1 class for Credit Recovery/Course Completion)
  • Period 3: 12:46 – 3:35pm (students attend their Period 3 class for Credit Recovery/Course Completion)

• Wednesday, January 17
  • Tutorial: 8:40 – 9:10am (students can see any teacher for support)
  • Period 2: 9:15am – 12:04pm (students attend their Period 2 class for Credit Recovery/Course Completion)
  • Period 4: 12:46 – 3:35pm (students attend their Period 4 class for Credit Recovery/Course Completion)

• Thursday, January 18
  • 9:00am: ELA 10-1 & 10-2 Final Exams
  • 1:00pm: ELA 20-1 & 20-2 Final Exams
  • Throughout the day, students may access teachers from any of their classes for Credit Recovery, Course Completion, and/or Exam Preparation

• Friday, January 19
  • 9:00am: Math 10-C Final Exam
  • 1:00pm: Math 20-1 & 20-2 Final Exams
  • Throughout the day, students may access teachers from any of their classes for Credit Recovery, Course Completion, and/or Exam Preparation

• Monday, January 22 – Tuesday, January 30
  • Final Exams
  • No classes for regular program students

• Thursday, January 25
  • Last day of Semester 1 classes for students in ACCESS, CSSI, and PLP
  • Grade 9 Tours (during the day) for Junior High students of Centennial feeder schools
  • Open House (evening) for prospective students and their families

• Wednesday, January 31
  • Semester 2 begins (regular classes)
