Dear Centennial High School Community, Halloween is behind us and November is here. How time does fly! Term 2 has begun at Centennial, as we have passed the halfway point of the first semester. And, as always, there is much going on. As I type this message our Music students are boarding a coach, en route to the Vic Lewis Band Festival in Canmore. Yotes Drama Society Fall Performance is Right Around the Corner! - The Yotes Drama Society is thrilled to present The Play That Goes Wrong by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields
- The show runs Monday, December 9 through Wednesday, December 11 (showtime 7:00pm)
- Tickets are $10 for Adults, $5 for Students and Seniors, and can be purchased in advance at The Den starting November 25
- *Tickets will also be available at the door each evening

Don’t Miss the Dinner Theatre! Pre-Ticket Sale Sign-Up - There is an opportunity to host a Dinner Theatre for The Play That Goes Wrong on Wednesday, December 11
- Dinner will be at 5:00pm, followed by the 7:00pm performance
- This is an incredible experience, with dinner prepared by our Culinary Arts team and served by the cast and crew of the show
- Tickets for the full Dinner Theatre Experience (dinner and the show) are $25
- For this event to go ahead we need to pre-book 50 tickets by Friday, November 8

Remembrance Day Ceremonies: Thursday, November 7 - Centennial is proud to honour our veterans, and all generations who have come before
- Please consider joining us on Thursday, November 7 for our Remembrance Day Ceremony
- We offer two identical ceremonies in our Gym, to ensure all students and staff, as well as community members, have the opportunity to attend
- Please consider joining us for either the 9:20am or 10:30am ceremony on November 7
- There will be seating at the front of the Gym for veterans, seniors, and community guests
Non-Instruction Day: Friday, November 8 - November 8 is the Calgary Board of Education System Indigenous Education Professional Learning Day
- All CBE staff, including us here at Centennial, will engage in whole-school and small group learning, as we continue to commit to Truth and Reconciliation, Indigenous Ways of Knowing, and moving our work and community relationships forward in a good way
- There is no school for students on November 8
Fall Break: November 11 – 13 - In 2024 the Calgary Board of Education instituted a Fall Break, which continues this school year
- The school will be closed Monday, November 11 through Wednesday, November 13
- Classes resume on Thursday, November 14
