Dear Centennial High School Community,

We are nearing the formal end of the 2024/25 school year, having hosted our last Final Exam (Science 30) today.  Tomorrow is the last day of classes for students in our Inclusive Education programs, and is also an opportunity to celebrate CHS students at the annual Academic Awards Ceremonies (more on that below).  The final day of the school year for staff is this Friday, as those not teaching Summer School head into the summer break.  Please read below for several updates.

Congratulations Honour Roll Students!

  • This year we saw the introduction of the Centennial High School Honour Roll (thank you Mr. Freeborn and Ms. Kim!)
  • Congratulations to all of our Semester 2 Honour Roll students – your hard work and dedication is inspiring, and will take you far!

Academic Awards Ceremonies – June 26 (Tomorrow)!

  • We are hosting three Awards Ceremonies tomorrow (Thursday, June 26)
  • All ceremonies are taking place in the Centennial Theatre, following this schedule:
    • Grade 10 Students: 12:00 – 1:00pm
    • Grade 11 Students: 1:00 – 2:00pm
    • Grade 12 Students: 2:00 – 3:00pm
  • Congratulations in advance to all of our Academic and Major Awards winners!

Online Report Cards Available

  • Online report cards will be enabled for viewing from June 25 to July 25, 2025
  • During this window, legal guardians and independent students are welcome to view their report cards online
  • For additional supports (how-to videos and guides, etc.) with Attendance and Assessment and Reporting, refer to Technical Support for Students & Parents

Textbook Returns

  • All textbooks are now overdue
  • Families will now see the replacement value of overdue books in student fees (these fees will be removed when books are returned)
  • Thank you in advance for returning all books, so that we can get resources ready for the coming school year

Back to School Information

  • A detailed “Back to School” package will be emailed to parents/guardians of incoming Grades 10, 11, and 12 students via School Messenger in mid-August and information will also be posted on the website.
  • Please read through this package carefully, as it will contain a significant amount of important information including several forms and documents that will need to be completed online

2025/26 Bell Schedule Update

  • Our 2025/26 Bell Schedule will see some minor changes for the 2025/26 school year
  • The school day will still begin at 8:40am Monday to Friday, and will still end at 3:35pm Monday to Thursday and 1:15pm Friday
  • Tutorials will now take place at 8:40am five days a week, with the first regular class starting at 9:09am Monday to Friday

September 2, 2025: The First Day of School

    • Wednesday, September 3 is a regularly scheduled school day
