Dear Centennial High School Community, Welcome back – we hope the holiday season was a good one for you and your loved ones. Semester 1 is coming to a close quickly, and Final Exams are upon us. Please read below for some important reminders. Credit Recovery/Course Completion Days (January 13 – 16) - Friday, January 10 is the last day of regular Semester 1 classes, except for students in our Inclusive Education programs
- Monday to Thursday next week (January 13 – 16) are Credit Recovery, Course Completion, and Exam Prep days
- As we do not have regularly scheduled classes next week, attendance will not be taken in PowerSchool, but rather hard copies of attendance will be kept at the school
- Students are encouraged to connect with their teachers this week regarding the specifics of each of their teacher’s availability times/locations January 13 – 16
Final Exam Schedule & Rules - A reminder that our Final Exam Schedule is posted on our school website (the link to the January 2025 Exam Schedule is on the right side of the page after you click this link: https://centennial.cbe.ab.ca/exam-schedule)
- In addition to Diploma Examinations for 30-level courses in ELA, Social Studies, Math and the Sciences, there are many scheduled Final Exams in Grades 10 and 11 classes
- Please ensure your child is aware of the rules for Final Examinations, which can also be found on our website: https://centennial.cbe.ab.ca/exams-graduation
Textbook & Library Book Returns - Overdue library books must be returned to the Learning Commons this Friday, January 10
- Textbooks and learning materials for this semester are due on the day of the Final Exam for that course
- *Please note: students are not permitted to sign out new books until their Semester 1 books have been returned
