Dear Centennial High School Community,
Tomorrow marks the final day of Semester 1 classes, with Semester 2 beginning on Wednesday, January 28. A reminder that there are no classes and no school for students on Monday or Tuesday next week (January 26 & 27). There is also no school next Friday, January 30, as that is a System Professional Learning Day.
Please read on for some updates.
Book Returns
- The deadline for students to return all textbooks, novels, and books from the Library/Learning Commons is tomorrow
- Please remind your child to bring their books and return them tomorrow (Friday, January 23)
IMPORTANT: Demographic Forms
- We still need over 200(!) families to complete the Student Demographic form for the 2025/26 school year
- This form can be found in SchoolEngage, which is accessible through your parent myCBE account
- Please check SchoolEngage to ensure that you have no outstanding forms
- If you need help setting up your myCBE account, please contact the Main Office at Centennial – thank you!
- Students who are 18 or older need to set up their own myCBE account – we can help with that in the Main Office
Report Cards/PowerSchool
- A reminder that viewing of final marks and comments in the parent public portal in PowerSchool is currently turned off
- The portal is turned off while teachers finalize report card marks and comments
- Report cards will be available for viewing on Monday, February 2
Reminder: School Council Meeting – January 28 at 7:00pm
- At our next School Council meeting, I will share information and welcome feedback regarding our School Development Plan, school budget, and data trends as relates to academic performance and student well-being
- We welcome you to join us (Wednesday, January 28 at 7:00pm in the school Learning Commons)
Reminder: Parking Passes
- Parking passes cost $42 and can be purchased at our Business Office
- Please ensure that the correct (current year) parking pass is prominently displayed at all times while parking in our student lot
- Bylaw enforcement will be ticketing vehicles without a valid parking pass in the coming weeks
Thank you for reading and have a great evening.
