Dear Centennial High School Community,

I hope your week is going well.  I am still smiling from the joyous experience of watching our Centennial Concert Band and Wind Ensemble perform last Saturday at the University of Calgary Rosza Centre.  The performances were exceptional.  Congratulations to both of these outstanding groups for winning GOLD in the Alberta International Band Festival.

Last Few Casino Volunteers Needed!

  • Thank you to everyone who has volunteered for our Casino Night that is upcoming March 6 & 7
  • We need just a couple more volunteers to fill the remaining slots, as follows:
    • Friday, March 6: Cashier (11:00am – 7:15pm)
    • Saturday March 7: Banker (9:00am – 6:45pm)
    • Saturday March 7: Chip Runner (6:15pm – 4:00am)
    • There are also some Back-up Volunteer slots available to be filled

Fluor Canada Engineering Competition

  • Over a dozen Design Thinking for Innovation students from Centennial visited Fluor yesterday
  • These students competed in the Fluor Canada Engineering Competition, and by all accounts acquitted themselves wonderfully!

Wrestling Cities

  • Good luck to our wrestlers as they compete in Cities tomorrow!
  • You can cheer on the team at the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex!

Basketball Playoffs

  • Good luck as well to our Coyote basketball teams, who are beginning their playoffs
  • Come out to cheer on our Jr Boys, who play here at 5:30pm tonight

Horizons Leadership Conference

  • Yesterday over 500 students from across southern Alberta joined our Leadership students in the gym for an incredible day of inspiration
  • Congratulations and thank you to our Leadership program for putting on such a successful and memorable event

Yearbook Purchase Deadline is this Saturday!

  • Time is running out to purchase a yearbook (the deadline is February 28)
  • Cost is $50 and yearbooks are NOT being sold via MyCBE fees
