Dear Centennial High School Community,
It is a beautiful day – a great day to host soccer at Centennial! Come on out and cheer on the ‘Yotes (game time 4:30pm). Meanwhile, there has been a lot going on this week at Centennial, with many exciting events and activities upcoming as well. Please read below for details.
Coyote Blood Drive(s)!
· Yesterday dozens of Centennial students attended a clinic at Canadian Blood Services
· These students had their first (or second!) experiences with donating blood
· Dozens more will be giving blood on April 17 – a total of 50 students have stepped up to (literally) save lives
· Mr. Krause, Mr. Parnell, and Mr. Wasden took and will take these eager and nervous students to the main Canadian Blood Services clinic downtown for an afternoon full of juice boxes, snacks, and saving lives
· These young adults showed incredible bravery and compassion in making this world a better place yesterday, and we know our next group will do the same next Thursday...well done!
CHS Jazz Band – Live Performance Not to Miss!
· The CHS Jazz Band has been invited to perform with professional jazz trombone player Karin Hammar from Sweden
· In partnership with CADME (Calgary Association for the Development of Music Education), Centennial will be sharing the stage with Robert Thirsk High School
· This takes place Thursday, April 24 at the Ironwood Stage and Grill – starting at 7pm
· Tickets are available at https://www.jazzyyc.com/jazz-events/centennial-thirsk-hammer/
· It will be a great evening of music!
Yearbooks – One More Chance to Purchase, By Popular Demand!
· Centennial Yearbooks continue to be very much sought after by our student body
· We have partnered with Josten’s to provide a limited number of yearbooks available for sale now until April 30 (or until we run out)
· This round of Yearbook purchases cannot be purchased through your myCBE account

Badminton Success!
· The CHS badminton team experienced great success at Divisionals this week
