Good Afternoon CHS Grade 12 Families,

We hope that you all had a wonderful weekend and are looking forward to our upcoming CHS Graduation 2026!! Please read this message carefully, as there is a significant amount of important information related to our Graduation Ceremony and Banquet.

Please find the information below regarding graduation CEREMONY (morning event) and BANQUET & DANCE (evening event) tickets:

  • Please note that each event (Ceremony - morning AND/OR Banquet & Dance - evening) will be ticketed events
  • A reminder that tickets are available today (Monday, April 6) at 5pm
  • The link for tickets is located HERE
  • There are two seprate events listed for getting tickets: one for the free Graduation Ceremony tickets, and a second for purchasing Graduation Banquet tickets

GRADUATION CEREMONY (MORNING EVENT)

The ceremony is an important part of graduation. This is an event in which family, friends, teachers, peers and the community formally recognize and celebrate our graduands' success. It takes place  at The Grey Eagle Event Centre on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 9:00am. There will be an initial limit of 3 free guest tickets per graduate. Graduands do NOT require a ticket for this event. There is the potential of more Grad Ceremony tickets becoming available once we do our initial round of ticketing and see how many tickets are claimed. This information will be provided via SchoolMessenger before the second round of tickets become available, as they will be first come first serve.

In addition to the live event, we will work with The Grey Eagle Event Centre to livestream the Grad Ceremony again this year. This has proven to be a wonderful way for families and friends to view this incredible event from near and far.

The ceremony program includes a processional, during which graduands and guests enter the designated ceremony location in the building in their academic gowns, while the audience stands to receive them. Each graduand crosses the stage to receive a certificate and congratulations from the Principal. Lifetouch takes a picture of the graduand as they receive their certificate, and these pictures will be available from Lifetouch in the weeks following the ceremony. The cost of the photograph is included in student Grad fees (expanded packages will be available for purchase).

Parking at The Grey Eagle Event Centre is free and is available to the south and west of the main facility. On the day of graduation, please pay attention to the signage that will direct students to the staging area and guests to the ceremony location. Graduands should be at the staging area by 8:15am. Students will then be lined up by Staff Marshalls.
