Dear Centennial High School Community, Since the return of teaching staff to schools last week, the Calgary Senior High School Athletics Association (CSHSAA) has been working diligently to sort out a plan to complete the Fall Athletics seasons. This message is to provide our community with these updates. First, I want to take a moment (on behalf of all Centennial student athletes and our school community as a whole) to extend our sincere gratitude to all Centennial staff members who volunteer their time to coach, manage, organize, and support extracurricular activities for our students. Coaching, for example, is not a requirement of teaching staff. The incredible commitment put forth by so many Coyote teachers and support staff members, year after year, is voluntary. I also want to thank the members of our larger community – those who do not work at Centennial but who also volunteer countless hours to coach our student athletes. Centennial is most fortunate to have skilled and dedicated volunteers willing to step up. We appreciate each and every one of you. I also want to commend and express my appreciation to our student athletes and their parents/guardians. You obviously have a passion for your respective sports, and are eager to see this important component of the high school experience continue. Your patience and kindness towards your coaches and Centennial staff as a whole, and your expressions of appreciation for all that we do, means a great deal. Thank you. CSHSAA Updates
Have a great day, and GO ‘YOTES! Joe Sturgeon Principal Centennial High School
